🛠️ Heavy Equipment Mechanic – Job Description
Position Summary:
The Heavy Equipment Mechanic is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing heavy machinery used in construction, logistics, mining, or industrial operations. This role ensures equipment reliability, safety, and operational efficiency through preventive maintenance and technical diagnostics.

🔧 Key Responsibilities
– Inspection & Diagnostics
– Perform routine inspections and identify mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical faults
– Use computerized diagnostic tools and technical manuals to troubleshoot issues
– Repair & Maintenance
– Conduct major and minor repairs on bulldozers, cranes, excavators, loaders, and other heavy equipment
– Replace or adjust faulty components such as engines, transmissions, brakes, and hydraulic systems
– Perform preventive maintenance tasks including fluid changes, lubrication, and filter replacements
– Documentation & Reporting
– Maintain detailed service records and repair logs for each piece of equipment
– Communicate equipment status and repair needs to supervisors and operators
– Safety & Compliance
– Adhere to safety protocols and environmental regulations during all maintenance activities
– Ensure equipment meets operational and legal standards before deployment
– Parts & Inventory Coordination
– Identify and order necessary parts for repairs
– Collaborate with warehouse or procurement teams to manage inventory levels

🎓 Qualifications & Skills
