🚛 Fleet Asset Controller
A Fleet Asset Controller is responsible for overseeing the lifecycle, performance, and compliance of a company’s fleet assets. This role ensures that vehicles and equipment are efficiently utilized, properly maintained, and aligned with operational and financial goals.
Key Responsibilities
– Asset Lifecycle Management: Track acquisition, usage, maintenance, and disposal of fleet assets
– Maintenance Coordination: Schedule preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime
– Compliance Oversight: Ensure all fleet assets meet regulatory, safety, and environmental standards
– Inventory & Documentation: Maintain accurate records of vehicle registration, insurance, inspections, and service history
– Cost Control: Monitor fuel, repair, and operational costs; identify cost-saving opportunities
– Fleet Optimization: Use telematics and fleet management software to analyze performance and route efficiency
– Vendor Coordination: Liaise with suppliers for parts, repairs, and service contracts
– Reporting: Generate reports on asset utilization, depreciation, and performance metrics
