The Construction Document Controller is responsible for managing, organizing, and safeguarding all project-related documentation throughout the lifecycle of construction projects. This role ensures timely access to accurate information, supports compliance with contractual and regulatory standards, and facilitates efficient communication among stakeholders.
📝 Key Responsibilities
– Establish and maintain document control systems in alignment with project and company standards.
– Register, track, and archive technical documents including drawings, specifications, contracts, RFIs, and correspondence.
– Ensure version control and proper distribution of updated documents to relevant teams.
– Coordinate with engineers, consultants, and contractors to manage document workflows.
– Prepare document transmittals, logs, and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
– Support audits and claims by maintaining traceable and secure document records.
– Implement naming conventions, folder structures, and metadata tagging for efficient retrieval.
– Train project teams on document control procedures and tools (e.g., EDMS, BIM platforms).
🎓 Qualifications & Experience

| Education | Diploma or Bachelor’s in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field |
| Experience | Minimum 3–5 years in document control within construction or engineering projects |
| Tools | Proficiency in EDMS platforms (e.g., Aconex, Procore, SharePoint), MS Office |
| Skills | Strong organizational, communication, and attention-to-detail capabilities |
| Language | Proficiency in English (technical documentation and correspondence) |
