The Construction Project Controller is responsible for overseeing the financial and operational performance of construction projects. This role ensures accurate budgeting, cost tracking, and reporting to support project delivery within scope, time, and budget. The Project Controller acts as a key liaison between project teams, finance, and senior management to ensure transparency and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
๐ Key Responsibilities
– Develop and monitor project budgets, forecasts, and financial plans in coordination with project managers.
– Track project expenditures, commitments, and variances against approved budgets.
– Prepare and present financial reports, cost analyses, and performance dashboards to stakeholders.
– Support contract administration, including payment certificates, change orders, and claims analysis.
– Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and contractual obligations.
– Collaborate with procurement, finance, and engineering teams to align cost control with operational goals.
– Maintain accurate documentation of financial transactions, audit trails, and project records.
– Identify risks and recommend corrective actions to maintain financial health of the project.

| Experience | Minimum 5โ10 years in project controls or financial management within construction |
| Tools | Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Dynamics 365, SAP), Excel, and project control software |
| Certifications | PMP, CMA, or equivalent (preferred) |
| Skills | Strong analytical, reporting, and stakeholder coordination capabilities |
